Forge ("we", "us", or "our") is a discipline and habit-breaking application designed for teenagers aged 13–18. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Forge mobile application.
By using Forge, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — used for account creation and authentication
- Password — encrypted and stored securely; we never have access to plaintext passwords
Profile Information
- Age and gender — used to personalize your experience
- Selected bad habits ("enemies") — the habits you choose to overcome
- Warrior identity and personal goals — your self-selected identity and mission statement
- Vulnerable time windows — periods you identify as high-risk
Usage Data
- Streak data — your current and historical streak counts for each habit
- Check-in answers — your responses to daily morning check-ins and evening debriefs
- AI coach messages — messages exchanged with the AI coaching feature
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Create and manage your account
- Track your progress and maintain streak data
- Provide personalized AI coaching through the DeepSeek API
- Send relevant notifications during your vulnerable time windows
- Improve the app experience
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not display advertisements.
3. Data Storage & Security
All user data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted backend-as-a-service platform. Supabase provides:
- Encrypted data storage at rest
- Secure HTTPS connections for all data transfers
- Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- Authentication managed through Supabase Auth with industry-standard practices
4. AI Coaching & DeepSeek API
Forge includes an AI coaching feature powered by the DeepSeek API. When you interact with the AI coach:
- Your messages and relevant context (selected habits, streak data) are sent to the DeepSeek API for processing
- DeepSeek processes these messages to generate coaching responses
- We do not store AI conversation logs beyond what is needed for the current session
- DeepSeek's use of data is governed by their own privacy policy
We send only the minimum information necessary for the AI to provide relevant coaching guidance.
5. Children's Privacy
Forge is designed for teenagers aged 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the email below.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Deletion — You may request that we delete your account and all associated data
- Correction — You may update your profile information at any time within the app settings
- Portability — You may request your data in a portable format

7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will permanently remove all your data within 30 days of the request. Inactive accounts may be deleted after 12 months of no activity.
8. Third-Party Services
Forge relies on the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Authentication and database storage
- DeepSeek API — AI coaching message processing
- Expo / React Native — Application framework and notification services
Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data. We encourage you to review them.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app. Your continued use of Forge after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Forge mobile application ("Forge", "the app", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by Sandu Tofan. By creating an account or using Forge, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
Forge is designed for teenagers aged 13 to 18 years old. By using Forge, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age. Users under 13 are not permitted to create an account or use the app.
If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the app, or that such consent is not required in your jurisdiction.
2. Account Registration
To use Forge, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and truthful information during registration
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Forge only for its intended purpose — personal discipline and habit improvement. You agree not to:
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your identity
- Use the app for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app's code or systems
- Submit false, misleading, or offensive content through any input field
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app
- Exploit the AI coaching feature to generate harmful, inappropriate, or illegal content
4. AI Coaching Feature
Forge includes an AI-powered coaching feature designed to provide motivational guidance. You acknowledge that:
- AI responses are generated automatically and are not professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice
- The AI coach is a tool for motivation and self-reflection, not a substitute for professional help
- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, you should contact a qualified professional or emergency service immediately
- We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI coaching responses
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the app (check-in answers, goals, messages). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store and process it solely for the purpose of providing the Forge service.
6. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, without prior notice, if:
- You violate any of these Terms
- You engage in abusive, harmful, or illegal behavior
- We determine your account poses a risk to other users or our systems
You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us at forgeapp12@gmail.com. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, branding, and code within Forge are the intellectual property of Sandu Tofan. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the app without explicit written permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Forge is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times
- Any results or progress achieved through the app are guaranteed
- The AI coaching feature will provide accurate, complete, or appropriate guidance in every situation
- Defects or errors will be corrected in any specific timeframe
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sandu Tofan and Forge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, profits, or goodwill
- Damages resulting from reliance on AI coaching advice
- Service interruptions or data breaches caused by third-party providers
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the app
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Forge is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (if any).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sandu Tofan from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of Forge, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of Forge at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the app. Your continued use of Forge after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Forge shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
